7.2 Configure a computer to communicate with Diogene87

If you want to communicate with the `dio87d' daemon from a remote computer, you must install the `dio87c' communication utility. You can use the precompiled package of your distribution (`diogene87-dio87c').

Then, you must edit the configuration file `dio87c.conf' to indicate where the `dio87d' daemon is installed.

In the configuration file `dio87c.conf', search the following line :

#DIO87D_ADDRESS=localhost

If this line starts with a `#' character, it means that this line is a comment. In this case, remove this character. Then, replace the string `localhost' by the name of the computer where the `dio87d' daemon is installed. This line should look like this :

DIO87D_ADDRESS=remote_computer_name
